Top Qualities of Women Leaders across the World

We’ve seen women leaders in almost all fields and across the world. Women emerged as leaders from all regions irrespective of the social, cultural, economic and other differences and thus the qualities of women leaders are almost same. According to researches, the top qualities of women leaders are:
- They’re more persuasive than their male counterparts.
- If rejected, women leaders learn from adversity and carry on with an “I’ll show you” attitude.
- Team-building leadership style of problem solving and decision making is most common in almost all female leaders.
- Women leaders are observed ignoring rules and taking risks.
- Women leaders are also found to be more empathetic and flexible in the decision making process.
- Women leaders are also found to be stronger in interpersonal skills than their male counterparts.
- Women’s way of leading is like helping people to understand and be principled about values that really matter.
No doubt that women style of leadership is way too different than that of men’s leadership, but the question is, whether this style of leadership is pragmatic or not. In this context, Dr. Musimbi Kanyoro, the World YWCA Secretary General has a point. According to Dr. Kanyoro, it’s not the time of leadership by domination, but leadership by taking care of people, keeping them connected well and leading them by involving them and that’s what women leadership style is.
